Goldie B. Wolfe Miller to be Inducted into Chicago Association of REALTORS Hall of Fame

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 29, 2011

The Chicago Association of REALTORS® will induct real estate legend Goldie B. Wolfe Miller into the Chicago Association of REALTORS® Hall of Fame. Miller, President of Millbrook Corporate Real Estate Services, will be honored for her achievements at the association’s 128th Inaugural Gala, to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Grand Ballroom of Navy Pier.

“The Hall of Fame recognizes professionals who serve as extraordinary role models for their peers and future generations entering into real estate. Goldie is a pioneer of success, especially for women. She’s built her reputation through tenacity and her commitment to education and philanthropy,” said C.A.R. President Mabel Guzman, REALTOR® with Envision Real Estate.

Nationally celebrated as a dealmaker, Goldie B. Wolfe Miller is known as one of the country’s top commercial real estate brokers. In her 30-year award-winning career, she has completed approximately $3 billion in transactions. Known for superb negotiating skills, in-depth expertise, creativity and persistence, Miller honed her skills at Rubloff Inc. as an office leasing broker. She joined Rubloff in 1972, was its first female senior vice president by 1980, and was its top National Producer for six years during the decade.

Miller established her own tenant representation firm in 1987, Goldie B. Wolfe & Co., acknowledged as the nation’s largest woman-owned commercial real estate firm at that time. In 1998, she sold her firm to a New York stock exchange-listed company. During her career, she negotiated the sale or lease of many of Chicago’s leading properties as well as major national transactions.

As respected for her strategic philanthropy as for her business acumen, in 2007, Miller launched the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative at Roosevelt University in Chicago. She has served on various boards throughout her career, including the Board of Trustees of the Urban Land Institute. She takes exceptional pride in serving as an officer and director of several family foundations.

“We are proud to recognize Goldie for her contributions to the Chicago real estate landscape,” said C.A.R. CEO Ginger Downs. “We are honored to induct her into the Chicago Association of REALTORS® Hall of Fame.”

The C.A.R. 128th Inaugural Gala will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Grand Ballroom of Navy Pier. For ticket and sponsorship details, visit ChicagoREALTOR.com/Events.
