  • In the event that your property is selected as a winner, the owner will receive one ticket to the GNA Awards Reception and a plaque featuring the winning property.
  • NOMINATION DEADLINE: 5 P.M., FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14; OR 5 P.M., FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21 WITH A $25 LATE FEE
    (LATE FEE IS REQUIRED WITH ALL APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED AFTER FEBRUARY 14)

Photo Requirements

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

  • Photos must accompany each nominated property or the submission will be considered incomplete.
  • At least one photo must be an exterior or interior shot, which ever is appropriate, of the project after its completion.
  • Photos should be either 4 inches by 6 inches or 6 inches by 4 inches and MUST be sumbmitted in a JPEG (.jpg) or GIF (.gif) electronic file format (high resolution) saved at 300 dpi.
  • Sumbit a minimum of 6 photos of each nominated property from various persepectives - 3 of the site before, and 3 of the site after renovation. Before photos are not required for new construction properites.
  • Provide at least one "after" photo of the property's exterior or completed interior for use on plaque and or marketing materials.
  • Name each photo using the property’s address and indicate if it was taken before (BF) or after (AF) the project's completion. For example, a property located at 200 S. Michigan would have three before photos titled: 200SMichigan_01BF, 200SMichigan_02BF. 200SMichigan_03BF and three after photos titled: 200SMichigan_01AF; 200SMichigan_02AF, 200SMichigan_03AF.

Please Note: For a nominal fee, major photo processing centers (Walgreens, CVS, etc.) will scan an original print, convert it to a JPEG file, and save it to a CD or disk (CVS) for your use. Photos can also be converted from a digital camera memory card.

I understand that if my property is chosen as an award winner, I will be invited to attend the May 22, 2014 Awards Reception. Furthermore, I hereby authorize use of my name, application, property location, and photos in programming and promotion of the 2014 and 2015 Good Neighbor Awards. I understand that if an award is conferred by the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, I will receive permission to use the GOOD NEIGHBOR AWARDS winner logo in the winning property’s promotional materials. A copy of these promotional materials must be provided to the Chicago Association of REALTORS® prior to publication and/or distribution. I understand that use of the GOOD NEIGHBOR AWARDS winner logo does not constitute an endorsement or warranty of the winning property, and the Chicago Association of REALTORS® shall not be held liable for or guarantee the property’s value or condition. Further, award recognition shall not be deemed or construed as a representation or warranty by the Chicago Association of REALTORS® of the use, value, or condition of the said property.
