SALES AWARDS RECOGNITION

The Chicago Association of REALTORS® honors the outstanding listing and selling accomplishments of our members with its annual Sales Awards Recognition. Awards are given in the categories of residential volume, residential units, and units and volume by neighborhood.

This recognition gives C.A.R. members the opportunity to celebrate success and, more importantly, to demonstrate the power of cooperation that exists in the Chicagoland real estate market.

About Teams

  • Listings for a team must be entered under the Team Lead’s Agent ID number
  • Team production is pulled using the Team Lead’s Agent ID number
  • When a team member signs into connectMLS, they are automatically signed into the Team account and any listings are automatically entered under the Team Lead’s Agent ID number.
  • Before entering a listing, confirm that the correct ID number is the Team Lead’s or the individual agent’s.
  • IMPORTANT: To switch to a personal account, a team member must click the link at the top of the window to switch to their personal account.

Verify Your Closed Listings and Sales

Ensure that you receive the credit you deserve for your 2016 sales transactions at our Sales Awards Celebration! See below for instructions on how to verify your transaction data.

Verification Deadline – Midnight on Sunday, January 15th, 2017

To Verify Closed Listings & Sales

    1. Log in to connectMLS;
    2. Click on the Search tab. Be sure the Search Type is General MLS and Property Type is Cross Property (All);
    3. Change Status selection to “CLSD” and unselect other statuses;
    4. Click on Add/Remove Fields;
    5. Add Closed Date and Listing Agent ID fields; click OK;
    6. Enter a Closed Date range from 01/01/2016 to 12/31/2016;
    7. Enter your Agent ID number in Listing Agent IDs;
    8. Click on View Results. This should display all the transactions through which you were the listing agent. Review these results to make sure you have marked all your listings as closed properly.
    9. Repeat steps 2-4;
    10. Add Closed Date and Selling Agent ID fields; click OK;
    11. Enter a Closed Date range from 01/01/2016 to 12/31/2016;
    12. Enter your Agent ID number in Selling Agent ID;
    13. Click on View Results. This should display all the transactions through which you were the selling agent. Review these results to make sure other agents have marked all of your sales properly.

What if a Transaction is Not Showing Up?

The most common problem with a transaction not showing correctly is the listing company not listing the selling agent. Here are steps to correct this

The selling agent should contact the listing agent and ask that the correction to be made. If the listing agent refuses to make the corrections:

  1. The managing broker of the selling office should contact the listing office managing broker and request the changes be made.
  2. If there is no response, contact MRED’s Rules & Regulations Department at (630) 955-0011 to request a form to report the company.

Please note: The estimated minimum production thresholds to be recognized as a C.A.R. 2016 Sales Awards top producer are $8 million in volume or 27 units closed in MRED.  These estimated thresholds are based on current production data pulled from MRED.  The final data pull from MRED will occur in January, 2017.  The final minimum thresholds may be adjusted slightly, based on this data.
