Orientation Guidelines

Use of Technology

As a portion of the course will focus on the use and understanding of real estate forms and contracts, we ask that you please bring a fully charged laptop or tablet with you to this class. This will help you follow along with the instructor. While we encourage you to bring this technology, the instructor will not tolerate the use of the computer for non-class related usage.

Receiving Credit for the Class

  • Arrive on time. Out of respect for the attendees and the instructor, please arrive on time. If you are more than 10 minutes late after the class begins it is considered a late arrival. The instructor reserves the right to turn away late arrivals.
  • If you sign the attendance sheet for any other student you will be dismissed from class and will need to retake the entire orientation course.
  • If you ask someone to sign the attendance sheet for you or any other student, you will be dismissed from class and will need to retake the entire orientation course.

Course Attendance

In many cases, your physical attendance at a class is mandated by state law, if so, we are stringent in our attendance and late arrival rules. Late arrivals are disruptive to others and interrupt the flow of the class. Students MUST be on time for all required class sessions in order to receive credit for the class.

Substitute Presenters

As we all know, the unplanned happens from time to time. When it does, it is always preferable to find a substitute presenter rather than cancel a class. As a school policy, in most cases involving licensing or CE classes, we make no guarantee as to who a presenter will be for a particular program.

Inclement Weather Policy

It is our policy NOT to cancel classes due to inclement weather. The reason for this is that it is almost impossible for us to contact every student, enrolled in every class, at every one of our classroom locations at any single time. All scheduled classes will go on as planned. If a student cannot attend a class due to inclement weather they will need to contact our office as soon as possible the next day about making up the missed class. If the majority of the students miss a class, or if the instructor is unable to make it to the class the instructor will work with the class at the next scheduled meeting to plan a make-up session. Contact info@rres-online.com. In the event of an extreme emergency, we will post any class cancellations on our website.

What to Wear

These are business classes and in many cases, the beginning of your new career. The people you meet in this classroom are your future business associates and your networking opportunities begin today. You know you will want to make a good impression. While allowing for comfortable attire, good taste is expected and required. Business casual is appropriate.
