The Virtual 5K must be completed between August 9-15, 2020. All results must be uploaded to here (click for link) by 11:59 PM on August 15, 2020 in order to receive a Finisher’s Certificate.

On your mark. Get set. GO! Our CAR Foundation 5K is going virtual this year. Whether you’re a competitive runner, looking to briskly walk with your pals, or just dusting off your sneakers, we welcome you to stretch it out and get your body in motion for a great cause!

HOW IT WORKS:

This year’s 5k has gone virtual, meaning you can run (or walk) it from any location you choose: on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill – wherever you like. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself using the ASICS Runkeeper app. You’ll be able to upload your results anytime between August 9th and August 15th. All participants will receive a certificate!

HOW TO TRACK YOUR STEPS

You can use the ASICS Runkeeper app or record your 5k using another software or tracking device.

ASICS RUNKEEPER APP INSTRUCTIONS

Download the ASICS Runkeeper™ app to your phone and create an account or scroll down to log into an existing account
Follow this link and click “Start Virtual Run” button to add the CAR Foundation Virtual 5K Fun-Raiser to your in-app virtual events
To record your run between August 9 and August 15, simply click the flag icon in your app, select the CAR Foundation Virtual 5K Fun-Raiser and follow prompts to start recording.
Once you have completed your 5k distance in the app, save your workout and it will automatically post to Race Roster results.

MANUALLY REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS

If you plan to record using another software or tracking device or post manually from what is recorded on your watch, simply head here and “Submit Virtual Result” between August 9 and August 15, 2020.

The CAR Foundation provides REALTORS® with educational scholarships to enhance their businesses and professionalism, fosters careers in real estate, and engages in charitable giving related to the real estate industry and housing in the Chicagoland community. Please note that this is a fundraiser in support of the CAR Foundation, which is CAR’s 501 c3 organization. All proceeds will go towards the CAR Foundation in support of real estate scholarships, community-driven/housing charitable contributions and outreach efforts.
