Coffee With Your GADs
Registration will close on Monday, October 3 at 8:00 PM
You’re invited to Coffee with Your GADs, an informal meeting to discuss legislative issues affecting the Chicago real estate market!
This month, we’ve invited guest speaker Alderman Brendan Reilly. Learn about his efforts to repeal the automatic property tax increase in the City of Chicago’s budget.
- Alderman Brendan Reilly, 42nd Ward, City of Chicago
Alderman Brendan Reilly has served as a member of the Chicago City Council since 2007 when he unseated a 36-year incumbent, who was the second longest serving alderman on the City Council. Alderman Reilly represents downtown’s 42nd Ward – Chicago’s Central Business District and home to 90,000 residents and over 10,000 business licenses. Alderman Reilly’s 42nd Ward represents nearly 60% of the city’s economic activity.
WHAT IS A “GAD”?
Your Chicago Association of REALTORS® Government Affairs Directors (GADs) will provide an overview of our current advocacy initiatives and concerns. This is your opportunity to understand how policy is being crafted and what the GADs are doing at City Hall and the Cook County Building. We discuss it all – the politics, policies, proposed laws and personnel impacting your clients and your business. You can also expect occasional drop-ins from elected officials and policymakers.
BRING YOUR QUESTIONS
We want to hear from you too! Coffee with Your GADs encourages two-way dialogue. Come and share what you’re seeing in the market and issues of concern!
Please note this will be an interactive and collaborative event among all attendees. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate by having their video turned on throughout the event.
