April is Fair Housing Month. Join us for a series of events commemorating the Fair Housing Act of 1968, which explicitly outlawed housing discrimination based on race, religion, national origin and sex. This event series is designed to provide you with the understanding and tools you need to identify and prevent fair housing violations. Together, we can do more than just comply with the spirit of the act – we can seek to affirmatively further Fair Housing.

Join moderator Nate Johnson of RedKey Realty in a conversation with law professor and author Mehrsa Baradaran and Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies about the role homeownership plays in advancing racial equity. We will look at the history of housing discrimination in the U.S., define the racial wealth gap, and determine how REALTORS® can combat discriminatory behavior and systemic racism in order to provide equal housing opportunities for all.

This event is presented in partnership with Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®.

Space for this virtual event is limited.
