2014 C.A.R. Corporate Hall of Fame- Inland Real Estate Group of Companies

Since its beginnings more than 40 years ago, The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc. has grown into one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate and financial groups. Founders Daniel L. Goodwin, Robert H. Baum, G. Joseph Cosenza and Robert D. Parks implemented a unique business model to create a group of companies renowned collectively today as “The Track Record Companies” for achievements in the real estate business. Founded, homegrown and based in the Chicago area, The Inland Companies cumulatively employ more than 1,400 people and own and manage over 75 million square feet of diversified commercial real estate in 49 states, as well as managed assets with a value in excess of $20.2 billion. The Inland Companies have brokered hundreds of millions of dollars in commercial real estate sales in the Chicago area over a 40-year period. They have developed over 5,000 acres of vacant Chicago-area land, and built or redeveloped over 7,000 apartments and sponsored over 600 separate real estate investment funds throughout the United States with a concentration in the Chicago area. The Inland Companies represent expertise and integrity in the industry, twice in the past five years earning the Better Business Bureau’s (BBB) Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. In addition, Inland has received dozens of awards from local civic and charitable organizations for its accomplishments and community service emphasizing initiatives to empower women in the workplace, including last year’s “Elevate Award” from the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Chicago Chapter, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) “Visionary Corporate Partner Award,” The Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce’s “Breaking the Glass Ceiling Award,” and the YMCA’s Corporate Recognition Award for the commitment to the Advancement of Women in the Workplace. More than 40 percent of Inland officers are women, including CEOs, CFOs and presidents of separate Inland companies. With two prior individual C.A.R. Hall of Fame award winners (2004 and 2011), and in recognition of its track record and future trajectory in our industry – Inland is honored as C.A.R.’s first Corporate Hall of Fame inductee.
