September 12th was the premier night for real estate in Chicago, as the Chicago Association of REALTORS® proudly presented its 135th Annual Inaugural Gala. Complemented by dancing, live music, and lots of laughs, the event included the installation of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® 2018-2019 Board of Directors, and honored several individuals for their contributions and positive influence, including the recipient of the Brian A. Bernardoni Political Advocacy Award.
The Brian A. Bernardoni Public Policy Award is based on the outstanding contributions of a REALTOR® or affiliate member in the public policy, political and/or legislative advocacy area and in keeping with the REALTOR® Party spirit to “Vote…Act…Invest.”
Sonia Anaya, a licensed broker since 1990, has been operating her own brokerage, America Real Estate, Inc., for almost 20 years. The wife and mother of four is admired by many – not only for her passion for the industry, but for her work impacting her community in Chicago and her hometown of Michoacán, Mexico. Sonia is a member of the RPAC President’s Circle and a Golden ‘R’ RPAC Investor. She serves as the Federal Political Coordinator for the Illinois 4th Congressional District to Representative Luis Gutierrez. She continues to work tirelessly to improve the lives of others, including her clients and brokers. She personifies community and industry leadership and her actions have continued to positively impact the REALTOR® community.
