We’re the professional association for real estate professionals in Chicago, serving the city since 1883. Our 16,000+ members work in residential and commercial sales, property management, appraisal and more. We provide education, market data, advocacy and tools designed by REALTORS® for REALTORS®.
Any real estate professional licensed with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Your designated managing broker or the principal broker of record must also be a member. If you already belong to another REALTOR® association, you can join us as a secondary member. Learn more about what membership type you’re eligible for.
For many of our membership types, annual dues include local, the Illinois REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® dues. MLS access through MRED is included. See our join-as-a-member page for a detailed look at annual and one-time fees for each membership type.
Every REALTOR® is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and agrees to follow its Code of Ethics. Not every licensed real estate agent is a REALTOR®. Many buyers and sellers look for the REALTOR® designation as a sign of professional and ethical standards.
You do not need to be a member to get access to our MLS, MRED. We offer MLS-Only Subscription options to eligible real estate professionals and appraisers. Depending on your business needs, this may be a great option for you.
Members get market statistics and reports, more than 80 forms and contracts reviewed by legal counsel, discounted classes through the REALTORS® Real Estate School, the FOREWARN safety app and free or discounted events.
