CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES
Illinois License Law imposes continuing education requirements on individuals holding real estate Broker, Managing Broker and Appraiser licensees. IDFPR holds each licensee responsible for properly renewing their license by their required date, accurately completing their Renewal Application and sending it with the appropriate fee to the Licensing Agency. IDFPR posts necessary forms on their site prior to each deadline.
View your completed CE Requirements with the IDFPR Continuing Education lookup. Then, choose your license type below to find a list of available continuing education course offerings. If you don’t see a particular course, don’t forget to check out online and self-study offerings.

IDFPR Electronic Renewal Notification Process
As of 2016, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) launched a new electronic license renewal notification process. Instead of being notified by postcard of your upcoming deadline, licensees receive email notifications only. To ensure the email notifications get to you:
- Review and update your contact information here.
- Watch for an email from “FPR.Notice@illinois.gov” with the subject line “Real Estate Broker Renewal Notice.”
- If you have questions or concerns about the process, contact IDFPR at 1-800-560-6420.
