The Illinois eviction moratorium was set to expire on September 18, but Governor Pritzker’s office has said it will be once again be extended until October 3.
Governor Pritzker previously announced in May that the moratorium would be phased over the summer and end in August. Despite this, he has continued to extend the moratorium.
An eviction moratorium has been in place since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
