The real estate community gathered at the 134th Annual Inaugural Gala on Monday, October 9, for a beautiful evening at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel honoring members of the Chicago REALTOR® family. The event included the installation of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® 2017-2018 Board of Directors, and honored several individuals for their contributions and positive influence on the industry, among which was the recipient of the Brian A. Bernardoni Public Policy Award.
Brian A. Bernardoni Public Policy Award: David Hanna
David has been committed to improving public policy and advocating for REALTORS® for over 20 years. A member of C.A.R. since 1995, he was the 2009 C.A.R. President and a former REALTOR® of the Year. He personifies community and industry leadership and his actions have continued to positively impact the REALTOR® community long after his presidency. He serves as the N.A.R. Federal Policy Coordinator for the Illinois 5th Congressional District to Congressman Mike Quigley. As an FPC, he ensures Congressman Quigley is aware of how legislative issues impact private property owners. He commits his time to ensuring the excellence of RPAC efforts by spending time in Washington D.C. and Springfield, offering direction and counsel.
