Homeowners would have to pay additional fees under proposed state legislation to require a video inspection of their sewer system by a licensed plumber.
State representatives could call House Bill 1376 this week. Under the proposal, it would cost homeowners an additional $500 to have a video inspection done. The cost of the inspection would most likely be passed onto the buyer, burdening them with extra costs to put homeownership out of reach.
