In a legislative win for commercial real estate, President Obama on Monday (Jan. 12)
signed into law a six-year extension of the federal terrorism insurance program.
Both the U.S. House and Senate approved extending the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) last week. The Washington Post reports on these critical votes
here.
American businesses rely on the availability and affordability of terrorism risk insurance, and continuing the program means providing stability and creating a viable insurance market.
