Get Involved: Why You Should and How You Can

Our 2019-2020 committees and work groups need your insights and expertise to help shape the future of our association and industry. Your involvement in our committees, advisory groups and forums ensures that we move forward with our mission to unite all facets of the industry as a leading advocate for real estate, driving REALTOR® business success and economic development of our communities. The deadlines to apply for these opportunities are quickly approaching.

CAR Foundation Board of Trustees: Apply by June 14, 2019

All Other Committees and Work Groups: Apply by June 30, 2019

WHAT MAKES A SUCCESSFUL APPLICATION?

There are a variety of factors that go into a successful application. To start:

Make sure you are willing and able to attend committee meetings.

Terms start October 1, 2019, the first day of our new fiscal year. You must also be willing to be an active participant at meetings. This is your chance to have a voice, and we want to hear from you!

Tell us your story.

What makes you particularly well-suited for the committee you’re applying for? Why are you passionate about getting involved? Dig deep!

Be a Chicago REALTOR®.

Submit your application on time.

We will not accept late applicants.

STEP 1: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION.

STEP 2: BRUSH UP ON YOUR INTERVIEW SKILLS.

Depending on the committee, you may be asked to come in for an interview. This is your time to shine – tell us your story, share why you want to be involved and identify what makes you a standout volunteer.

STEP 3: CHECK YOUR EMAIL.

All committee applicants will be notified of their appointment by September 1, 2019.
