Governor Pritzker Extends Ban on Evictions to September 22

Governor Pritzker extended the eviction ban for another month, pushing the deadline back from its original expiration date of July 31 to the new date of September 22. It is unknown if he will extend the moratorium again, although we believe he will continue to do so. If the eviction moratorium is lifted this fall, keep in mind that the new Fair Notice legislation and Chicago COVID-19 Protection Ordinance, including the cooling-off period, will apply.
