Prepared, Protected and Confident
Real estate professionals navigate a wide range of environments and client interactions — and personal preparedness looks different for everyone. This session explores how you can make informed, responsible decisions about safety within the context of your work, empowering you to feel prepared and protected.
Presenter:
- Shar Lewis | Owner, JBL Training Academy
Meet Shar Lewis (click to expand)
Shar Lewis is a 20+ year veteran law enforcement officer, certified firearms instructor, and public safety educator committed to empowering professionals through preparation, protection, and practical knowledge.
During the tragic shooting at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in 2018, Shar was present while temporarily disabled and undergoing physical therapy. In the midst of chaos, she helped protect others — an experience that further strengthened her commitment to proactive safety training and situational awareness. Her message is not rooted in fear, but in readiness.
As the founder of JBL Training Academy, Shar provides firearm safety and concealed carry education with a strong emphasis on Illinois law compliance. She teaches responsible ownership, use-of-force considerations, legal boundaries, and real-world application — ensuring professionals understand not just how to carry, but when and why under Illinois statutes. Her instruction bridges the gap between confidence and compliance.
A respected leader in a traditionally male-dominated profession, Shar proudly represents women in law enforcement who lead with strength, strategy, and service. She advocates for women’s empowerment through education, awareness, and informed decision-making — particularly in industries like real estate where professionals often work alone.
In addition to her law enforcement career, Shar is a mortgage loan originator, public speaker, radio personality, and entrepreneur. Through her platforms, she educates audiences on safety, financial empowerment, and leadership.
Shar’s mission is clear: empower professionals — especially women — to move confidently, operate legally, and protect themselves wisely in every environment they enter.
Women-Driven Tech, AI-Ready Leadership
Picture this: It’s 7:30 a.m. on a Thursday. You’re already juggling clients, contracts, inbox chaos and a calendar that looks like Tetris. Now add leadership expectations: be visible, be decisive and be “ahead of the curve” as the tech curve keeps moving.
This session will focus on what women leaders in real estate actually need: faster decisions, cleaner communication, better follow-up and systems that protect your time and your reputation. You’ll see how to turn AI into a practical “second set of hands” for daily leadership work, drafting, clarifying, prioritizing and preparing without outsourcing your voice or judgment.
And because outcomes matter, every workflow will be tied to business impact: time back, fewer dropped balls, more substantial client experience and a more confident leadership presence. In fact, marketing leaders report AI is already linked to improved sales productivity, improved customer satisfaction and lower overhead costs, precisely the areas real estate leaders feel most squeezed.
