LaFargue was placed in the category with REALTORS® from across the country who show an unwavering passion for uplifting their local communities. With the support of fellow Chicago REALTORS® and others, LaFargue was the voters’ top choice. As a result, he will receive a $2,500 grant.
Additionally, LaFargue was one of five REALTORS® to receive an honorable mention for NAR’s “2018 Good Neighbor” award category. He will receive another $2,500 grant to go toward his charitable work. LaFargue is the president of the West Chesterfield Community Association and an active member of other nonprofits dedicated to making Chicago’s schools, neighborhoods, and transportation safer for all. Perhaps his most notable community work involves the installation of security cameras which were instrumental in arresting suspects in a murder case and his leadership of the Red Line Extension Coalition, bringing significant funding to historically disenfranchised communities. Please join us in congratulating Michael LaFargue and thanking him for all of his wonderful “off-the-clock” work around Chicagoland. Read more about Michael.
