New 48-Hour Listing Status Requirement for connectMLS – Effective March 1, 2019

Beginning March 1, 2019, connectMLS users will be required to make listing status changes within 48 hours, including weekends and holidays. This new requirement applies to the following statuses:
  • New (NEW)
  • Contingent (CTG)
  • Active-Temporarily No Showings (TEMP)
  • Auction (AUCT)
  • Pending (PEND)
  • Price Change (PCHG)
  • Closed (CLSD)
  • Rented (RNTD)
  • Canceled (CANC)
  • Expired (EXP)
Previously, MRED required changes to be made within a 72-hour time period, but has changed this to improve the accuracy of the connectMLS database. If you do not update the statuses within 48 hours, beginning March 1st and beyond, you are subject to a $250 fine from MRED. This fine was in place prior to the new rules being announced. All REALTORS® are encouraged to read the FAQs about this new rule or contact MRED’s Rules and Regulations Department with any other questions or concerns.
