A new statewide home loan has launched to make homeownership more affordable for first-time and repeat buyers.
The new @HomeIllinois product offers the following:
• A 30-year fixed-rate, affordable loan
• Grants of $5,000 to help with down payment or closing costs
Buyers must contribute $1,000 or 1 percent of the purchase price, whichever is greater.
Income and purchase price limits apply.
The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), the state’s housing finance agency, has more details on this new loan.
