The Illinois Medical District (IMD) Guest House provides comfortable, affordable, temporary lodging for patients and their families who must travel to Chicago for medical treatment. They also provide these accommodations to veterans receiving treatment at the Road Home Program at Rush University Hospital.
The Global Real Estate Council is raising money for international families to provide them with welcome bags for their stays. These bags will include encouraging notes from donors, snacks, water bottles, sanitizing wipes, gift cards and items like Sudoku books or decks of cards. You may donate to help us support these families and IMD here. We aim to raise $500 to provide about 200 bags to international guests.
In 2019 and 2020, IMD Guest House has supported native citizens from Canada, India, China, Dominican Republic, Israel, Mexico, Nigeria, Puerto Rico and Russia, as well as US citizens. Since its inception, IMD Guest House has supported citizens from over 20 countries.
