Property tax assessments have been going out since the beginning of the year, and owners have just 30 days to appeal these notices. We’re seeing a dangerously high increase in assessed valuations of residential and commercial property due to the market uptick.

REALTORS® should be aware that, with assessments going up, there’s an opportunity to work with clients to appeal property tax assessments. For clients who are selling their property, appealing an assessment is a great opportunity to position a property more favorably. For past clients, this is an opportunity for you to continue to provide great customer service.
