On Wednesday, November 18th, the Local RPAC Committee met in the C.A.R. Board Room for a phone-a-thon, led by Chair Kevin Van Eck, @properties, and Vice Chair Nicholas Apostal, Coldwell Banker.
The goal of the phone-a-thon was to reach out to brokers who gave to RPAC last year, but had yet to contribute this year, as well as those with no history of giving. Drussy Hernandez, Conlon: A Real Estate Company, received the most pledges: five.
In addition to asking for REALTORS® to contribute their fair share, the phone-a-thon also served to help spread the word of the new REALTOR® Parking Permit offered by the Clerk of the City of Chicago. The parking permit pilot program is an important example of how RPAC works at every level of the government.
IAR has set a goal of obtaining Fair Share pledges of $20 from an additional 2,000 REALTORS® before December 10th, and the phone-a-thon is one way that C.A.R. is doing our part to make that goal a reality.
