Antje Gehrken, A.R.E. Partners, was installed as our 2021-2022 president on September 24, 2021, during our 138th Annual Inaugural Gala, the premiere night for real estate.

At the Gala, Gehrken laid out her vision for the year ahead. She encouraged REALTORS® to lean into new experiences, to remember to be proud of our role as Chicago REALTORS® and to continue to inspire one another.

Gehrken brings over 20 years of experience in real estate, including representing investors, homeowners, lenders, and property and asset managers, to her new position as president. She also brings an extensive knowledge of the association, as she has been involved in a variety of committees and work groups over the years, including the Finance Committee, Professional Development Advisory Group and Treasurer of the CAR Foundation Board of Trustees.

Over her career, Gehrken has achieved a number of extraordinary accomplishments. She gained the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, which is held by only 6% of commercial real estate professionals due to its extensive appointment process. She also helped to grow A.R.E. Partners to new levels by becoming licensed in Indiana and expanding the company’s presence to the northwest part of the state.

Gehrken is also an active mentor for the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Commercial Real Estate Initiative. In 2014, she was named as the Women’s Council of REALTORS®’ Entrepreneur of the Year and, in 2018, received the prestigious CAR’s President’s Award. She was also featured in Chicago Agent Magazine’s Who’s Who in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Gehrken is a lifelong Chicagoan, and an alumnus of Columbia College Chicago and Roosevelt University.
