Small Business Grant Initiative Seeks to Support Asian American Pacific Islander Business Owners

We know that the COVID-19 pandemic hit small business owners especially hard, and we want to help provide relief to property owners impacted by the eviction mortarium and businesses shut down due to citywide bans. Throughout 2021, the Chicago Association of REALTORS® will recognize and reward a select number of small business owners who have made a significant, lasting impact within their communities. If you are a business owner with a brick and mortar location in Chicago that was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage you to apply! Each company selected will receive a $1,000 grant. To commemorate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and honor these hardworking businesses, our next round of grants will recognize and support Asian American and Pacific Island small business owners. If you are an Asian American or Pacific Islander business owner with a brick and mortar location in Chicago that was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage you to apply! The deadline to apply is Friday, April 30. Winners will be awarded their grant and interviewed by the CAR leadership team during its Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration in May. Keep an eye out during upcoming heritage months as we unveil further grant opportunities for other minority businesses.
