- 2,370 properties were sold in the City of Chicago in June 2025. This is a 2.9% increase from June 2024.
- The median sales price in the City of Chicago for June 2025 was $400,000, which is a 5.8% increase from June 2024.
- The City of Chicago saw listings average 49 days on the market until contract, which is the same as June 2024.

STATE OF THE MARKET
- U.S. existing-home sales edged up 0.8% month-over-month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.03 million units, exceeding economists’ expectations, although sales were down 0.7% year-over-year, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). On a monthly basis, sales increased in the Midwest, Northeast and South but decreased in the West.
- Heading into June, there were 1.54 million units for sale across the country, a 6.2% increase from the previous month and a 20.3% improvement over the same period last year, representing a 4.6-month supply at the current sales pace, according to NAR. Despite the additional supply, home prices have continued to rise nationwide, albeit at a slower pace than during the pandemic, climbing 1.3% year-over-year to $422,800 as of last measure.
INVENTORY
- The City of Chicago’s inventory is down 13.8%, from 4,922 homes in June 2024 to 4,243 homes in June 2025.
- The month’s supply of inventory decreased 14.8%, from 2.7 in June 2024 to 2.3 in June 2025.
2-4 Unit Data
- 313 properties were sold in June 2025. This is a 7.9% increase from June 2024.
- The median sales price in June 2025 was $475,000, a 11.2% increase from June 2024.
- There were 588 new units on the market in June 2025, which is a 1.4% increase from June 2024.
