The Great Lakes Basin Partnership to Block Asian Carp is calling on the federal government to take action and protect Lake Michigan. Asian carp is an invasive species that will cause unprecedented damages to the local ecosystem, economy and property values.
The good news is Michigan will pay for the costs of having the Army Corps of Engineers block off the Asian carps’ migration at Brandon Road Lock and Dam.
What do Illinois residents need to do? Show support and sign the petition.
