CAR West RFP Application

The Chicago Association of  REALTORS® is accepting proposals from real estate brokers to provide brokerage and marketing services for the sale of our CAR West location at 6017 W. 26th Street, Cicero, IL. Requirements for consideration:
  • Must be a current Chicago Association of REALTORS® member or Commercial subscriber.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing as a real estate broker by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

All applications must be submitted by August 11, 2022.

We obtained the West office’s building during our merger with the West Towns Board of REALTORS® in 2011. Since then, it’s been used for classes, dues payments and lockbox distribution for Chicago REALTORS® on the west side. After looking at current member needs and geographic distribution, a work group of Chicago Association of REALTORS® members were tasked to determine the best use of the location, and ultimately decided the best course of action would be to sell the property, which our Board of Directors approved.
Applicants must be current Chicago Association of REALTORS® members or CommercialForum subscribers who are licensed and in good standing with the association and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
We are accepting RFP applications until Thursday, August 11th. Applications will then be evaluated by a workgroup made up of Chicago Association of REALTORS® members. All applicants will be notified of the outcome within three weeks of the August 11th deadline.
Future site visits will be made available to interested parties that submit an RFP application.
The HVAC was fully replaced in 2021 and the roof has recently been repaired.
In 2020, the real estate property taxes for the site were $8,887.
No, we own the property outright.
Yes, an appraisal has been completed and will be provided to the winning bid.
A property survey has not been completed. One can be done at the cost of the new owner.
