Initiated by 2018-2019 CAR President Tommy Choi in honor of his three daughters, this scholarship will offer key educational and professional development opportunities to CAR staff members.
“The association’s vision would not be executed without our staff, and this opportunity builds a leadership track for individuals who are looking to professionally thrive in our industry,” he said.
This scholarship will be used as a career development tool, allowing CAR staff to attend a national conference, professional development or industry conference of their choice, to build connections and develop significant leadership skills. The scholarship will assist with registration costs, airfare, hotel, etc.
Amount: Up to $1,000 each for two staff members, per fiscal year.
Parameters:
- Applicant must be a current CAR staff member, with a minimum of one year of full-time employment.
- Applicant must provide a 250-500 word essay talking about their professional aspirations.
- Candidate must provide a write-up post-conference.
- Applicant must have manager or CEO approval.
