Sustainability Work Group

The Sustainability Work Group provides industry-leading education, networking and resources on sustainability and “green” real estate practices.

We seek to establish Chicago REALTORS® as a ‘go-to’ resource for the Chicagoland community and elected officials looking for best-practices on sustainable building upgrades, sustainability topics and trends, marketing materials, how-to guides and real property-focused policies and advocacy. Meet the work group members below!

About Serving on the Sustainability Work Group:
  • Term: 1 Year
  • Meetings and Commitments: Meetings are held bi-monthly for 1 hour. Meeting format may be a blend of some in-person, some virtual. Members are expected to attend all committee meetings, at least half of the optional meetups during months when there is no official meeting, 75% of sustainability events, and engage with one volunteer opportunity (ex: Rebuild Day, Pitch-In for the Parks, Earth Day Cleanup). Additionally, brainstorming and info-sharing on topics like new education courses, leads for event sponsorship, topics/speakers for planned events, and willingness to serve as a “Program Champion”, someone who helps to lead a sub-committee, are expected.
