For REALTORS® whose primary REALTOR® Membership is with another REALTOR® Association, interested in joining the Chicago Association of REALTORS®.
NOTE: For MRED access, your managing broker must also join the Chicago Association of REALTORS®. If your managing broker is not a member of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, you can join as a secondary member but will not be eligible for MRED MLS access with your secondary membership.
READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING:
Secondary members are REALTORS® whose primary membership is held with a local REALTOR® association other than the Chicago REALTORS®. For these members, NAR and IR membership dues are paid through their primary association, and all that is paid to the Chicago Association of REALTORS® are Chicago REALTORS® membership dues and MRED fees (if applicable). In addition, if their primary association is in a different state, they have the option to also pay IR secondary membership dues to the Chicago REALTORS®.
The Chicago Association of REALTORS® will waive our initiation fees and any portion of NAR and IR dues the member has already paid, pending accompaniment of a letter of good standing from their primary board along with their application.
For Managing Brokers opening a SECONDARY office with the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, provided you already hold a primary office with another REALTOR® association; includes self-sponsored Managing Brokers and current Chicago REALTORS® offices opening branch locations.
