The Chicago Association of REALTORS® proudly presented our 136th Annual Inaugural Gala on Thursday, September 26. During the festivities, we debuted our 2019-2020 Board of Directors and honored several members for their contributions throughout the year, including the recipient of the REALTOR® of the Year award.
The REALTOR® of the Year Award recognizes an exemplary industry leader with a minimum 10 years of experience, who is a REALTOR® in good standing and involved in activities at the local, state and national levels.

REALTOR® of the Year: Rebecca Thomson, Thomson Real Estate Group
Known for her poise and professionalism, Rebecca Thomson has dedicated her career to providing her clients with first-class customer service, improving communities and supporting her peers through coaching and mentorship. As the 2018 president of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® and owner and managing broker of Thomson Real Estate Group, Rebecca has proven to be an expert in developing a strong, healthy team culture, implementing processes across multiple offices, and collecting and analyzing data to inform business decisions. Rebecca believes education is the foundation of success. She is a sought-after speaker and strategist, who shares her expertise through keynote speeches, panel discussions, interviews and articles nationwide. Rebecca credits her success to the support and mentorship she has received throughout her career and now strives to be that example for her peers. She is especially committed to the advancement of women in leadership positions and challenging preconceived notions about what’s possible. She champions diversity and inclusion at the upper echelons of industry governance, management and ownership, and she plans to continue dedicating her time and talents to make that a reality.
