On Tuesday, April 16th, the Chicago Association of REALTORS® Foundation donated and presented a check to Sarah’s Circle, a non-profit organization providing housing and support for women who are experiencing disabling conditions and homelessness. The organization has offered shelter and counseling services to women in need since 1979.
“REALTORS® provide housing to our clients, but we also recognize some of the most vulnerable among us are also in need of housing,” CAR Foundation Chair Coby Hakalir said. “Sarah’s Circle provides interim housing to women who have disabling conditions or deal with chronic homelessness. Providing a gift this year and last year helps provide service to those who need it most. ”
The CAR Foundation was happy to support and advance Sarah’s Circle’s mission with a $5,000 donation.
“To provide a helping hand when needed isn’t an option, it’s a mandate,” CAR Foundation Chair-Elect Julie Harron affirmed. “The Chicago Association of REALTORS® Foundation recognized a need to provide services to women in need of refuge. Sarah’s Circle provides a holistic approach of helping both emotionally and physically. We are proud to help and look forward to helping more.”
The Chicago Association of REALTORS® Foundation, known for providing educational scholarships, also uses its resources to engage in charitable giving opportunities related to the real estate industry and housing in the Chicagoland community.
