September 12th was the premier night for real estate in Chicago, as the Chicago Association of REALTORS® proudly presented its 135th Annual Inaugural Gala. Complemented by dancing, live music, and lots of laughs, the event included the installation of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® 2018-2019 Board of Directors, and honored several individuals for their contributions and positive influence, including this year’s recipient of the President’s Award.
2018 President Rebecca Thomson awarded Antje Gehrken with the President’s Award in appreciation for her dedication, passion and leadership, within our organization and the industry as a whole.
Antje, owner and managing broker of boutique brokerage A.R.E. Partners, has over 17 years of experience representing investors/developers, home buyers and sellers, institutional clients, and property owners. Her expertise is as wide and diverse as her listings, which range from luxury high rise units in Chicago to strip malls in western Illinois to restaurants downstate.
As a result of her hard work in the real estate industry, Antje was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Women’s Council of REALTORS®; served as a Director on the Board for the Chicago Association of REALTORS® since 2015; elected to the CAR Foundation Board of Trustees; served as Chair of CAR’S Professional Development Advisory Group and was selected as a mentor for the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Commercial Real Estate Initiative. Antje was also recognized as a Sterling R President’s Circle Major Investor in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee by the National Association of REALTORS®.
