The Real Estate License Act has been signed into law. Some provisions pertaining to education must go through a rule-making process that can take months. The signing marks the end of months of legislative work by Illinois REALTORS® and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation — which by statute must be done every decade — to strengthen rules for training and professionalism and enhance consumer protections.
