On Tuesday, March 31, Baird & Warner donated $150,000 to the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund through its philanthropic arm, The Good Will Network, according to a press release from the company.

“Donated funds assist agencies and individuals that help ensure families can access basic needs, such as emergency food and supplies, mortgage and utility assistance, as well as direct financial assistance due to recent job loss as a result of COVID-19,” the press release stated.

The Chicago COVID-19 Response Fund was launched by the Chicago Community Trust in partnership with the City of Chicago and United Way of Metro Chicago, according to its website. Its goal is to provide “flexible resources to community-based organizations across the Metropolitan Chicago region to supply essential aid to the individuals and households who are most impacted by the pandemic.”

“Baird & Warner agents, loan officers and employees have always been proud to support the Chicagoland communities where we live and work,” said Stephen Baird, president and CEO of Baird & Warner said. “While we can’t be there physically for our neighbors in this new era of social distancing, we do still want them to know that we see them.”

Over the course of its 165-year history, Baird said “the firm worked with clients through the Civil War, Great Chicago Fire, two World Wars, the Great Depression, numerous recessions and 9/11,” according to the press release.
