CAR Hosts Public Safety Town Hall with Mayor Lori Lightfoot

As REALTORS®, we are integral members of our communities, working together to ensure Chicago remains a vibrant place to live, work and play. We know, for many of you, that public safety remains top of mind.

On Wednesday, April 13, Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Police Superintendent David Brown joined us for a town hall to discuss public safety in Chicago and what REALTORS® can do to be part of the solution. Mayor Lightfoot first addressed the concerns we presented to her administration regarding the vibrancy of our city. She shared that in 2021, Chicago had the lowest unemployment rate of any large city in the country, 173 companies either relocated or expand their company’s footprints here and $9 billion of investments were made. Then, Superintendent Brown discussed the state of the Chicago Police Department and public safety. Both then joined President Antje Gehrken for a fireside chat to answer your questions.
