A Tribute to Ginger Downs

The real estate community gathered at the 134th Annual Inaugural Gala on Monday, October 9, for a beautiful evening at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel honoring members of the Chicago REALTOR® family. The event included the installation of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® 2017-2018 Board of Directors, and honored several individuals for their contributions and positive influence on the industry. A special tribute was held for our CEO, Ginger Downs, as this was her last Inaugural Gala prior to her retirement.     C.A.R. welcomed Ginger as CEO in 2005; she previously worked as an Association Executive in the Seattle region. In addition to her mentorship and leadership in the industry, she has been incredibly active in the Chicago community, serving as president of All Chicago and working with the Goldie Initiative, as well as serving on the John Marshall Law School Real Estate Advisory Board, Roosevelt University’s Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate Advisory Board, DePaul University Real Estate Advisory Board, and the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is a Golden R RPAC Investor. She was most recently awarded the highly coveted William R. Magel Award of Excellence. Thank you, Ginger, for your time at C.A.R. and contribution to this community.
