CAR Foundation Partners with Humble Design to Help a Family Transitioning Out of Homelessness

The CAR Foundation spent part of Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14, volunteering in the community. The Foundation partnered with Humble Design to furnish a home for a family who is transitioning out of homelessness. Humble Design serves individuals, families and veterans emerging from homelessness by transforming their empty house into a warm, welcoming and uplifting home with donated furniture and household goods. They use donated household goods to transform these spaces that lead to successful lives. Across the country, Humble Design warehouses are curated and stocked by design teams that personalize homes by providing a dignified, life-changing experience for clients. According to Humble Design, up to 50 percent of families return to shelters after entering houses. With Humble’s help, only one percent of families return to homelessness after 12 months. Thank you to all our volunteers!
