May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a time to recognize the history, leadership and lasting contributions of AAPI communities across the country.
This month carries important historical significance, including the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to the United States on May 7th, 1843 and Golden Spike Day on May 10th, 1869, which marks the completion of the transcontinental railroad, built with significant contributions from Chinese workers.
As we celebrate, we’re honoring the strength and diversity of our industry and organization by spotlighting Asian American leaders, sharing stories that inspire connection and creating opportunities to learn, engage and show support throughout the month.
