On May 28, Governor Pritzker issued an executive order to extend the eviction moratorium again until June 26.
Currently, there are multiple opportunities for renters and landlords to receive rental assistance. The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) is accepting applications for emergency rental payment assistance through the 2021 Illinois Rental Payment Program, and the Chicago Department of Housing added a third round of funding to the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
