Illinois Eviction Moratorium to End In August, Aid Coming for Renters & Landlords

On Monday, May 17, Governor Pritzker announced that the eviction moratorium will end in August, and $1.5 billion in aid will be available to help renters affected by COVID-19. The funding is anticipated to help around 120,000 tenants, who can apply for the grant that will be paid to their landlords to cover unpaid rent payments.
