Our Mission
Our mission is to help Chicago REALTORS® create value for yourselves, your brokerages and your clients by providing the resources you need to create sustainable buildings and lifestyles that will positively impact property values and the environment. They also aim to teach you how you can adopt sustainability strategies to grow your business and expand your client offerings. We’re collaborating to help you build sustainability into your business model. We believe our industry can be a leading voice for both commercial and residential clients regarding best practices and resources for reducing their environmental footprint. As sustainability becomes an increasingly higher concern for Chicagoans, we want to equip our industry to understand the changing landscape.What does this mean for you?
We’ll be creating ready-to-use marketing material to educate those you work with on various sustainability topics. You can brand the marketing material with your information and share it on social media, via email or even at open houses. We’ll also be hosting events each month for you to deepen your knowledge on sustainability. Topics will include energy efficiency incentives, understanding solar power and clean energy, best practices for recycling, updates on city and state policies, water conservation, limiting common household toxins and more. Plus, we want to hear from you. Have a topic of interest in mind? Let us know! If you’re not part of the work group but want to make an impact, there are other ways to participate. We can make an impact on our community by having as many REALTORS® involved as possible. Make a New Year’s resolution to focus on sustainability in your business in 2020. Keep an eye out as we unveil resources and tools you can use in your business. And, please help us spread the word!
