Past President Maurice Hampton Appointed to Cook County Land Bank Authority’s Board of Directors

Past President Maurice Hampton, Centered International Realty, has been appointed to the Cook County Land Bank Authority’s Board of Directors. He is replacing our President-Elect, Sarah Ware, as the REALTOR® representative on the Board. The Cook County Land Bank Authority takes control of vacant properties and expedites acquisitions for purchasers seeking to upgrade and restore the properties. The board consists of public officials, community advocates and real estate professionals who oversee the efforts of the Land Bank Authority.  Maurice was our 2019-2020 President, and he uses his platform to promote volunteerism, education, diversity and so much more. An outspoken advocate for creating diversity, equity and inclusion not only in our industry but also in our communities, he’s passionate about investing in underserved neighborhoods and encouraging fair and equal housing opportunities for all. He is a longtime instructor at the REALTORS® Real Estate School, where he shares his enthusiasm for subjects such as sustainability, negotiation and international real estate. He also brought attention to global practices as CAR’s longtime Global Real Estate Council chair.
