As you may know, I come from a commercial real estate background, so our 4,000-member CommercialForum, Chicago’s largest commercial real estate community, is near to my heart. Over the last year, we’ve been exploring ways to provide commercial members with more resources and opportunities.
This past year, we’ve hosted more programming than ever before. Our monthly CommercialForum Power Lunches provide an opportunity to come together, discuss the market and meet with industry leaders. We’ve also been hosting a variety of webinars, covering topics like commercial investment and the 1031 like-kind exchange. Access the content you need, on your schedule — all our programming is available on-demand in our Video Resource Library.
We recently expanded our CommercialForum team with our new coordinator of commercial services and professional standards, Brady Comenduley. You may know him from his previous role with our fantastic Member Care team. We couldn’t be happier to have more hands on deck!
In the coming months, in partnership with the Commercial Brokers Association, we’ll be launching our Legal Library PRO product, a commercial forms management system developed by top commercial real estate experts. With a suite of commercial contracts and forms, Legal Library Pro will be the easiest and fastest way to close a deal, allowing you to make your commercial transactions move more smoothly. You’ll be able to instantly access and edit any of the Legal Library PRO’s copyrighted contracts and forms for Illinois.
From September 27-29, we’ll be attending NAR’s inaugural C5 (Capital, Connect, Commerce, Community and Commercial) Summit in New York, the premier U.S.-based commercial real estate event. This summit will have a dedicated dealmaking room, three days of sessions including a keynote by former NY Yankee and prolific real estate investor Alex Rodriguez and a trade show featuring the entire commercial property value chain, from financing and development, to sales and property management.
