Earlier this month, the Chicago Association of REALTOR® Foundation provided monetary support to KIPP Chicago Public Schools.
“The Chicago Association of REALTORS® Foundation is the philanthropic and research arm of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®” Foundation chair Coby S. Hakalir, U.S. Bank said. “Supporting over-performing schools is in line with who we are and what we do. REALTORS® seek to improve all the 77 neighborhoods in Chicago, and we know schools are the backbones of these communities. Bettering schools, and the students therein, improves our community and our city as a whole.”
Knowing this, C.A.R director, Julie Harron, Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, suggested a donation to KIPP Chicago, a network of seven public charter schools in some of Chicago’s most under-resourced neighborhoods on the south and west sides.

“The school empowers students with the character and academic skills necessary to succeed in top-quality high schools and universities and to have a positive impact on their communities. KIPP Chicago’s alumni graduate high school, matriculate into and graduate from college at higher rates than their Chicago Public Schools peers,” said Julie. “Your support of Chicago’s highest performing K-8 charter network today will have a profound impact on the leaders of tomorrow.”
