GADs Budget and Election Hot Takes

Our GADs took to Facebook Live over the last month to discuss important legislative hot topics. At the end of October, they discussed the city and county’s 2021 budget proposals, including items of focus for REALTORS® and the real estate industry. Then, at the beginning of this month, they gave their election hot takes, where they discussed the outcome of the Chicago and Illinois elections, including information on the federal election, the Fair Tax amendment and more.

Take Action: Oppose Cook County’s RLTO

We need you to take quick, immediate action to oppose Cook County’s proposed Residential Landlord-Tenant Ordinance, which grants a host of new rights and remedies to tenants, and it imposes several new responsibilities and duties on landlords, such as limits to late rental fee payments, non-lease renewal notice of 90 days, prohibiting move-in fees and more. Let your elected officials know you oppose these new, proposed regulations.
