On Thursday, December 9, 2021, the CAR Foundation Trustees and other Chicago REALTOR® volunteers got together to volunteer at kettle locations across Chicago to raise money for the Salvation Army housing and community services.
The kettle funds raised combined with the Foundation’s match brought the total amount donated to $1,040!
“This was my first experience as a bell ringer,” CAR Director Vicky Silvano said. “It’s such a great feeling to know that people have giving hearts, in general! If they don’t give when they come in, they give when they walk out of the store. Some folks talked with me about other organizations that they donate to. Plus, the weather was nice too! I would do it again! Love talking to people and greeting them with the holiday cheers!”
