Although we’re still socially distant, we have tools to help you make the most of your membership as you navigate your business as we move into winter. Make your November notable with these benefits:
November is Designation Awareness Month!
During the month of November, NAR is offering discounts for many of their online courses to encourage industry professionals to seek out and enhance their expertise through specialized certification or designation programs. View the list of designations and offers here.
Verify Your Sales Data
Make sure to get recognized for your 2020 listing and selling accomplishments by verifying your transaction data! The deadline to verify your data and be recognized for your accomplishments at the 2020 Sales Awards is Friday, January 8, 2021. Top Producers will be recognized at the Sales Awards and featured in Chicago REALTOR® Magazine.
GADs Budget and Election Hot Takes
Our GADs took to Facebook Live over the last month to discuss important legislative hot topics. At the end of October, they discussed the city and county’s 2021 budget proposals, including items of focus for REALTORS® and the real estate industry.
Then, at the beginning of this month, they gave their election hot takes, where they discussed the outcome of the Chicago and Illinois elections, including information on the federal election, the Fair Tax amendment and more.
Take Action: Oppose Cook County’s RLTO
We need you to take quick, immediate action to oppose Cook County’s proposed Residential Landlord-Tenant Ordinance, which grants a host of new rights and remedies to tenants, and it imposes several new responsibilities and duties on landlords, such as limits to late rental fee payments, non-lease renewal notice of 90 days, prohibiting move-in fees and more. Let your elected officials know you oppose these new, proposed regulations.
